President
Michael K. Broder
Co-founder and President of CrossTimbers Capital. Mr. Broder began his career as a Fixed Income Trader at Citicorp Investment Bank in New York in 1985. In 1990, Mr. Broder joined the NCH Corporation in Dallas Texas where his responsibilities included treasury functions, banking coordination, and real estate lease negotiations for NCH Corp.’s nine regional offices. In 1997 Mr. Broder left NCH and, along with David Cunningham, founded CrossTimbers Capital, Inc., as a commercial real estate development firm where Mr. Broder had responsibility for project accounting and finance, project lender management, limited partner coordination, and property management. Following Mr. Cunningham’s departure in the fall of 2005, Mr. Broder expanded the scope of the business into a diversified financial services company, primarily focused on lending within the subprime residential housing market. He has operated within this arena since that time. Mr. Broder graduated from Emory University in 1983 with a B.A in Economics. He earned an M.B.A. in Finance from The Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA in 1985.

Thomas K. Broder
Thomas Broder is an Lone Originator and has been with the company for 10 years. He holds a B.A. from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. In his role, Mr. Broder works closely with a network of real estate investors and brokers who source many of the firm’s deals.

Elizabeth Hernandez
Elizabeth Hernandez is a seasoned business professional with over eleven years of experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University, has pursued additional education in real estate, and currently serves as Office Director. Elizabeth is passionate about helping builders and homeowners bring their visions to life through dedicated, service-focused support.

Maria Simon
Maria earned her bachelor’s degree in human services from the University of North Texas at Dallas in 2016. Since joining CrossTimbers Capital five years ago, she has supported financial operations while helping maintain an efficient and productive office environment.

Yamile Martinez
Yamile Martinez is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Accounting Assistant with over ten years of experience in accounting support, customer service, and administrative operations. At CrossTimbers Capital, Inc., she provides bookkeeping support, office assistance, and notary services. Ms. Martinez began her career as a certified Bilingual Secretary from Institute Heinsenberg and continued her education at Brookhaven College in Dallas, Texas. She values the opportunity to support efficient financial operations and contribute to a team committed to delivering quality service.

Loan Originator
Veronica Hynes
Veronica began her career at CrossTimbers Capital, Inc. as a receptionist, where she consistently exceeded performance expectations. She later advanced into a Loan Originator role and now works alongside Thomas Broder, partnering with a network of builders who source a significant portion of the firm’s transactions. Known for her professionalism, strong organizational skills, and commitment to client service, she contributes meaningfully to CrossTimbers Capital’s operational excellence and growth.

Receptionist
April Barrios
April Barrios earned a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising with a minor in Business from the University of North Texas. She recently joined CrossTimbers Capital as a Receptionist/Accounting Associate and is excited to be part of the accounting team while continuing to grow and learn within the organization.
